A real estate platform that revolutionized how agents communicate with clients.
Rechat is a web platform for real estate agents, combining CRM, listings management, and transaction workflows. When I joined, the product had significant scalability and consistency issues.
The main challenges were slow development, technical and design debt, UI inconsistency, and user complaints. The redesign process started with a full audit of all existing screens. We then broke the product into components and migrated toward Material UI as the foundation of the system.
We chose MUI (Material UI) because the team didn’t have the capacity to build a design system from scratch, so we needed a scalable and maintainable base.
The rollout process included:
MUI was not just adopted, it was heavily customized, and new components were built where needed to match product requirements. This significantly improved development speed and consistency across the product.
I led the end-to-end design of several major modules, including:
This last tool allowed non-designers to create marketing assets using predefined branded templates.
Alongside product work, I helped shape the design process itself, including reviews, handoff structure, file organization, and QA collaboration with engineering teams.
